1. Incorporation and priority
This Beta Program Addendum (the "Addendum") is between you and ReliaPulse LLC and supplements the ReliaPulse Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms. If this Addendum conflicts with the Terms about beta access, this Addendum controls.
2. Eligibility and participation
The beta is invitation-only, available in the United States, and limited to participants age 18 or older. We may accept individuals and authorized representatives of businesses or other organizations. If participating for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it and to provide any data, integration access, and feedback submitted during testing.
Participation is voluntary. We may limit enrollment, features, devices, integrations, storage, test duration, or access at any time.
3. Experimental nature of beta features
- Beta features may be incomplete, unstable, unavailable, inaccurate, or materially changed without notice.
- Data may be reset, migrated, corrected, or deleted as part of testing. Keep independent copies of important records.
- We do not promise uptime, support response times, compatibility, continued access, or a release date.
- A feature available at no charge during beta may be discontinued or included only in a future paid tier.
- Beta participation does not guarantee admission to a later beta, free plan, paid plan, device program, or general release.
4. Testing activities and goals
We may provide optional testing goals, scenarios, surveys, interviews, or requests to try specific workflows, such as chores, asset organization, schedules, task assignment, notifications, or integrations. You decide whether to participate in a requested activity. Do not perform unsafe maintenance, damage property, violate a warranty, access another person's system, or incur material expense solely to complete a test.
Testing may include real household or maintenance information only under the restrictions below. When practical, use non-sensitive information, low-risk household tasks, or test data.
5. Non-critical-use restriction
For real maintenance, you must independently verify schedules, readings, alerts, task status, and completion; inspect conditions; follow manufacturer instructions and warranties; and use qualified professionals when appropriate. ReliaPulse must not be your only maintenance calendar, record, alarm, or decision source.
6. Integrations and devices
Connected devices, networks, MQTT brokers, Home Assistant systems, browsers, and other integrations may be unavailable, misconfigured, compromised, or provide stale or inaccurate data. You are responsible for authorization, network safety, credentials, thresholds, entity mappings, and disconnecting access. Do not connect beta software to equipment that can create a dangerous condition or automatically perform a hazardous action.
7. Feedback
We may ask for bug reports, observations, screenshots, survey responses, feature ideas, and other feedback. Do not include third-party confidential information or unnecessary personal data. The feedback license in the Terms applies. We may use feedback without payment, attribution, or an obligation to implement it.
8. Confidential beta information
You may discuss your general experience unless we clearly identify particular unreleased material as "ReliaPulse Confidential" before disclosure. If we do, you will use reasonable care to protect that identified material and will not disclose it for two years, except information that becomes public without your breach, was already lawfully known, is independently developed, or must be disclosed by law. Your own User Content and feedback are not ReliaPulse Confidential merely because submitted during beta.
9. No compensation or employment
Unless we separately agree in writing, beta participation is unpaid and does not create employment, a partnership, an agency relationship, a joint venture, or a promise of equity, reimbursement, free future service, devices, discounts, or other compensation.
10. End of beta and future plans
We may end the beta or your access at any time. At or after the end of beta, we may release some features for free, reserve some for paid tiers, change limits, require a new agreement, or not release a feature. We may provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to copy important data when practical, but we do not guarantee continued access or migration.
If a paid offering becomes available, you will not be charged unless you affirmatively select it and agree to the applicable price and payment terms. Donations, if offered separately, do not purchase or guarantee beta access, features, support, or future benefits unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
11. Termination
You may leave the beta at any time by stopping use and contacting us if you want account closure. We may suspend or terminate participation for any reason, including safety, security, misuse, inactivity, product changes, or breach of this Addendum or the Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including feedback rights, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms.
12. Risk acknowledgment
You understand that beta software carries additional risk and agree to use it only within the boundaries above. The warranty disclaimers and liability limits in the Terms apply to beta access to the maximum extent permitted by law.
