Start here
Build your first maintenance flow
ReliaPulse works best when you begin with a real item and one real maintenance need. You can add more structure later.
- Create an account and verify your email.Sign in at the ReliaPulse app and complete any current legal-consent prompt.
- Select or create a location.Use a name you will recognize, such as Home, North Rental, or Workshop.
- Add an asset.Start with the name and notes; add model, serial, warranty, and custom fields only when useful.
- Add a task or planned task.Use a manual task for one-time work or a planned task for a repeating routine.
- Enable push notifications.Choose the activity you want to hear about on the device you are using.
Good first exampleAdd “Main HVAC,” attach the filter size in Notes, then create a planned task called “Replace return-air filter.”

Read the dashboard
The Dashboard always reflects the selected location. Its summary cards show critical open work, tasks due soon, the number of assets, and the number of claimed devices.

Workspaces
Locations and members
A location separates its assets, tasks, devices, Home Assistant connection, timezone, and people. Switch locations from the selector in the sidebar.

Member roles
- Admin: helps manage the location.
- Member: participates in assigned work.
- Viewer: receives read-oriented access.
Adding membersThe person must already have a ReliaPulse account. In Settings, open Location Members, choose Add Member, enter the account email, and select a role.

The system of record
Assets, custom fields, files, and photos
An asset can be equipment, an appliance, a vehicle, a tool, a building system, or anything else that needs a record and maintenance history.
Standard details
Name is required. Add type, manufacturer, model, serial number, physical location, purchase date, warranty expiration, status, and notes as needed.
Custom details
Use custom fields for details that matter to the item, such as filter size, belt number, refrigerant, paint code, service contact, or circuit number.
Files & Photos
Open an asset and expand Files & Photos. You can upload common document, spreadsheet, presentation, text, and image formats or add a web link. Classify the item as a manual, warranty, receipt, photo, service record, or other.

Archive instead of rewriting history.When an item leaves service, archive it so its past tasks and records remain understandable.

Daily work
Create and manage tasks
Tasks are always connected to an asset. Create one from the main Tasks view or directly from the asset. Add a title, optional due date, priority, assignee, and instructions.
Task actions
- Complete: finish the work and optionally record a note.
- Postpone: move an open task ahead by one or two weeks.
- Skip or dismiss: close it with a required explanation.
Use the Open, Completed, and All filters to focus the list. Members can also filter tasks assigned to themselves or view all users when their access allows it.

Repeatable work
Choose a planned-task schedule
A planned task is the rule that generates future tasks for an asset. Set its title, priority, automatic assignee, start point, due window, and instructions.
After completionService-interval schedule
The next task is created only after the current cycle is completed or skipped. Useful when the interval should follow the actual service date.
Fixed calendarCalendar schedule
Creates work on calendar slots. If an earlier task is still open, that cycle is skipped and the plan waits for the next slot.
Calendar-alignedCompletion plus calendar
Waits for the current cycle to close, then schedules the next task on the next matching calendar slot.
Calendar schedules can repeat daily, weekly, monthly by date, monthly by weekday position, or yearly. For each generated task, the due window can be expressed in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years.

Reminders
Configure push notifications
- Open Settings → Push Notifications.Select Enable on this Device and approve the browser prompt.
- Choose the activity.Notify for tasks assigned to you, activity at locations you own, or both.
- Set quiet hours if needed.Choose the start and end of the window, then save.
- Send a test.Use Send Test after the device is registered.
Notifications are per device.Enable them separately on each supported browser or installed app where you want alerts. Browser permission must remain allowed.

Integration
Generate work from Home Assistant
Home Assistant rules use entity history or current state to create a task when a condition persists. Each connection belongs to the selected ReliaPulse location.
- Add the server.In Integrations, enter a name, the Home Assistant URL, and a long-lived access token. Keep certificate verification enabled for normal HTTPS connections.
- Test the connection.Confirm ReliaPulse can reach the Home Assistant API before creating rules.
- Open an asset → Sensor Triggers.Select the server and search for an entity by ID or friendly name.
- Define the condition.Compare the entity state or an attribute using numeric, equality, contains, or unavailable conditions.
- Control task creation.Set how long the condition must last, the cooldown, task due timing, priority, and whether the rule is enabled.
Network access matters.The Home Assistant URL must be reachable from the hosted ReliaPulse worker. A private LAN-only address generally requires a network path that the hosted service can reach.

Connected hardware
Claim and configure a ReliaPulse device
- Claim the device.In Integrations → Devices, enter its pair code and an optional display name.
- Configure points.Add supported hardware points, choose the mode, and give each point a clear operational name.
- Scan temperature sensors when needed.Use Scan to discover supported one-wire temperature sensors before adding them as points.
- Add a trigger.Connect a binary state or numeric threshold to an asset and define the task it should create.
- Review operations.Check device status, firmware availability, and optional MQTT settings from the device detail page.
Trigger controls
Set a condition, numeric hysteresis where applicable, priority, minimum matched duration, cooldown, task title, and task description.
Local alarm support
Compatible binary and temperature rules can be cached on the device for local alarm behavior after configuration synchronizes.

App access
Install ReliaPulse on a device
ReliaPulse is an installable web app. Use Install App in the sidebar or the install banner when it appears. Supported browsers may show a native install prompt; on other devices, follow the browser’s add-to-home-screen flow.
Offline behaviorThe app includes an offline fallback, but live asset, task, notification, and device data still require a working connection to the ReliaPulse service.

Plans and capacity
Capacity for locations, planned tasks, integrations, trigger counts, history, and document storage can vary by plan. Check Settings → Your Plan for your account details and visit Pricing for the current public plan display.
Start with the maintenance workflow that fits your location, then choose the account capacity that supports the number of assets, people, documents, and connected rules you need.
